The Strategic Community Plan

The City of Stirling's strategic plans set the goals and direction for the City's future activities. The most important of these is the City's Strategic Community Plans 2016 - 2026 which was adopted by the Council on 5 July 2016.

The Strategic Community Plan was first developed in 2013 through extensive community consultation and contains ambitious yet achievable objectives to shape the City's development over the next ten years and beyond. The Plan has six broad strategic themes:

  1. Liveable City and Thriving Neighborhoods
  2. Sustainable Environment
  3. Engaged Communities
  4. Accessible and Connected City
  5. Prosperous City
  6. Making it Happen

In 2016 the City conducted a two-year strategic review of the Plan through consideration of resident priorities, trends and drivers impacting the City. Through this review four objectives were strengthened, and the previous measure statements were replaced with specific measures and targets. Progress against the objectives will be reported in the City 's Annual Report. Hard copies are available by contacting the Customer Contact Centre on 9205 8555 or download a copy below:

Strategic Plan 2016 - 2026

In keeping with legislative requirements the City will again consult with the community in 2017 and complete a major review of this Plan.
