Group fitness timetables

Conditions of entry

For smooth running of group fitness classes please follow the below conditions of entry:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the class starting, there is no entry to classes 5 minutes after the class has started
  • Participants must book in prior to the class starting online or in centre, the class pass must be shown to the instructor
  • Bookings for group fitness classes open 24 hours prior to the class starting   
  • Please bring your own towel and water bottle, towels are compulsory, you will not be allowed to enter the class without a towel
  • Please provide your own Yoga mat for wellness classes, yoga mats will not be supplied
  • Boxing inners are compulsory for boxing classes and are available for purchase at reception. 

Group Fitness classes are subject to availability and timetables are subject to change without notice.

      Join our fantastic community of over 50's in group fitness workouts across Stirling Leisure. 

      Each session is different and focuses on improving mobility, strength, balance and fitness. 

      All classes are available on our great value memberships

        Teen Fit will commence on Monday 5 February for Term 1 2024.

      • Accelerate is a great way to start your fitness. This course is designed for those with motivation to tackle their fitness goals head on, or who want to take part in a more interesting workout regime. Accelerate is best suited to people who want to see results.

        The program consists of two outdoor fitness classes per week, run by our team of dedicated session leaders and qualified personal trainers. They offer reliable nutrition advice, constant support, motivation and guidance during the course. Our goal is to create a motivating team environment, encouraging weight loss, fitness and strength.

        • One-hour group training sessions

        Beach Accelerate - Scarborough Beach Pool

        The next eight week course of Beach Accelerate will commence on 9 January 2024. 

        • Days Tuesdays and Thursdays 
        • Time 6.00am - 7.00am

      • Pregnancy Wellness program is at Stirling Leisure Centres – Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre is unique. Pregnancy Wellness is a five-week program that includes one Pre-Natal Aqua Fitness class, one Pre-Natal Yoga class per week and access to the pool facilities for the duration of the course.

        Pregnancy Wellness will focus on maintaining cardiovascular fitness and strength during pregnancy, pelvic floor health, mobility, and mindfulness and is open to all stages of pregnancy.

      Wherever you are on your health and fitness journey, a personal trainer can take your training to the next level. Using the latest exercise techniques, our personal trainers will make sure you stay on track to achieve your goals.

      Qualified personal trainers are available at Stirling Leisure Centres - Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre, Leisurepark Balga and Scarborough. Personal trainers will motivate you to achieve your fitness goals whether they are strength and conditioning, fitness, weight loss or training for a specific event. Sessions are available one on one or in small groups.

      Small group personal training

      Are you looking for another way to supercharge your workout to achieve your health and fitness goals? Small group training is a great way to accelerate your results, work out with like-minded individuals and motivate each other towards success.

      Sessions are delivered by our highly skilled personal trainers in small groups of 3 to 6 people. Each 60 minute session will vary and be tailored to the group.

      Gyms

      Stirling Leisure offers three modern gymnasium facilities with state-of-the-art equipment and services suitable for everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes at Scarborough, Inglewood and Balga.

      Gym at Balga

      Balga is a unique gym facility offering a fantastic supportive community environment and state of the art equipment. The gym comprises of Matrix performance Cardio equipment, including the ClimbMill and performance Treadmills and Hammer Strength and Life Fitness strength equipment. 

      Balga also features the Functional Strength Studio. The studio is equipped with a range of equipment including a strength training rig, assault bike, Skierg, sled track, rower, battle ropes, kettlebells and more. The large range of 45 minute classes are conducted by experienced personal trainers and will include HIIT and strength based sessions, and with small class sizes you will get results and stay motivated.       Conveniently located on Alexander Drive in Inglewood, the 500 square metre Gymnasium is fully equipped with a large range of Matrix X7i Cardiovascular equipment including six Performance Plus treadmills to help your reach your running goals.       Stirling Fitness mobile app

      Stirling Leisure offers our members the Stirling Fitness mobile app. The Stirling Fitness app connnects with the Matrix cardio equipment and is used by members for their gym exercise programs, to scan into the gym and exclusive member deals and challenges.
