Please be advised the City is not the decision maker for this application and the application will instead be determined by the Metro Inner Development Assessment Panel (DAP) due to the value of works. The City’s role is to provide a recommendation to the DAP through a Responsible Authority Report. As part of preparing the City’s Responsible Authority Report to the DAP the City are seeking your comments on the proposal. Your comments will be included within the Responsible Authority Report to ensure that the community’s views have the opportunity to form part of the DAP’s consideration of the proposal.

You are invited to comment on this proposal on or before 5.00pm, Wednesday 8 May 2024. Please ensure you quote reference: DA23/1563 on any submission. Late submissions will unfortunately not be able to form part of the City’s Responsible Authority Report to the JDAP.

The proposed development is summarised as follows:

  • A Warehouse (Customer Fulfillment Centre) comprising 7,850m2 of Warehouse area, 650m2 office area and twelve associated direct-to-boot car parking bays within a single storey building;
  • Three Showroom tenancies, comprising two 1,001m2 tenancies and one 1,215m2 tenancy;
  • One Drive Through Fast Food Outlet with 228m2 of gross floor area and an external eating area;
  • Access and egress is provided from the shared access road off Alexander Drive.
  • A total of 411 car parking bays over the site; and
  • 13.7% (5,529m2) of the site is proposed as landscaping.

The Development Assessment Panel application is to be assessed against the relevant provisions of the Local Planning Scheme, State Planning Policies and Local Planning Policies, including but not limited to the following:
