The City of Stirling is proud to announce the details of our bumper summer event season.

Across the City of Stirling, the summer months bring a heightened level of activity, with events, markets, festivals, celebrations, cultural extravaganzas and awards.

The season has already begun with Groundswell Festival presented by the City of Stirling 2022 being held at Scarborough Beach last weekend. This festival was the unofficial kick off for the event and market season, including:

The season’s events will also see the hosting of the 2023 Australian Surf Life Saving Championships in March, bringing members 314 surf clubs together to compete in more than 480 beach and ocean events.

Mayor Mark Irwin said Council support for events, markets and festivals came from a strong belief in creating spaces where our local community can thrive.

“There’s so much to love about the City of Stirling; from our beaches and natural areas to our vibrant centres and entertainment precincts,” he said.

“Our plan is to continue to invest in creating spaces where people feel they can belong, vibrant places where they can come together to be active and socialise locally as part of the community.

“These events are a key part of our plan to support a thriving local economy, where arts, culture, sport and hospitality are in abundance.”

The successful recipients of the City’s current round of the Community Arts and Events Fund will soon be announced, and will also form part of the summer event season.

Further details on the events can be found on the City’s event calendar.
