Christmas 2020 Opening Hours

From the Mayor, Councillors and staff, the City of Stirling wishes all our ratepayers, customers and community a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Please be advised the following opening hours will apply during the festive season.

City of Stirling Administration Centre, 25 Cedric Street Stirling

The Administration Centre will reopen with normal hours from Monday 4 January 2021.

Stirling Libraries

City of Stirling Operations Centre, 16 Natalie Way, Balcatta

Waste Collection Services

Domestic and commercial services for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day will occur one day later than usual.

• Collections scheduled for Friday 25 December will be collected on Saturday 26 December
• Collections scheduled for Friday 1 January will be collected on Saturday 2 January.

Green waste collections will cease on 18 December 2020 and resume on Monday 4 January 2021. Residents in Area 12 (Gwelup, Karrinyup and parts of Hamersley) can place their green waste on the verge between 25 December and 2 January 2021.

Containers for Change

Containers for Change provides a 10-cent refund for each eligible container that is returned to the refund point at 257 Balcatta Road, Balcatta. This refund point is open:

• 8.00am - 5.00pm on weekdays
• 8.00am - 4.00pm on weekends.

The Containers for Change facility will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Recycling Centre Balcatta

The Recycling Centre Balcatta (238 Balcatta Road, Balcatta) is open for the following hours:

• 7.30am - 4.00pm Monday to Saturday
• 8.00am - 4.00pm Sunday.

The Recycling Centre Balcatta will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Ranger Services

Ranger Services will continue to operate 7 days per week from 6.00am - 8.00pm throughout Christmas and New Year. For assistance, please call (08) 9205 8555.

Security Patrol Services

Security Patrol Services will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout Christmas and New Year. For security assistance, call the Security Hotline on 1300 365 356. For assistance with crime, contact WA Police on 131 444.

Animal Care Facility

The Animal Care Facility will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Appointments can be made to visit the facility by phoning (08) 9205 7120.

Stirling Leisure Centres

The Learn to Swim program at Stirling Leisure Centres - Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre - Inglewood, Leisurepark Balga and Scarborough Beach Pool will take a two-week break from 21 December, recommencing on 4 January. For specific opening hours of each facility, please see below.
