Karlo is a first term councillor for the Hamersley ward. He was born in the City of Stirling and has been living in the area, with his family, for over 20 years. He will endeavour to ensure that his first term results in tangible benefits for the ratepayers he represents. He also wants to improve council efficiency while maintaining the provision of services that all residents should enjoy. His time spent on the Council Audit committee has given him the opportunity to ensure that the Council is exercising prudent fiscal responsibility in its budget procedures.
Karlo is extremely approachable, preferring to catch up with constituents and relevant stakeholders in person. If you have a concern or query, Karlo will make himself available for a coffee or community catch up. In an age of social media where impersonal communication has become the norm, Karlo prefers to engage in the old-fashioned way - face to face with a big smile and always eager to help.
Karlo has had a distinguished management career, which has only been possible by keeping current with best practice, not by sitting on his laurels. He believes that Councillors are there to serve all of the City's people.
