Karlo has been a serving Councillor for the Hamersley Ward since 2017. His parents originally settled in Osborne Park back in 1958 and he was also born in the City of Stirling. As a local resident for over 23 years, Karlo enjoys nothing more than spending time with his family in and around our diverse City.
Karlo is extremely approachable, often preferring to catch up with constituents and stakeholders in person. If you have a concern or query, Karlo will make himself available for a coffee or community catch up. In an age of social media where impersonal communication has become the norm, he prefers to engage in the old-fashioned way, face to face, with a big smile and always eager to help. Karlo strives to improve Council efficiency while maintaining the provision of services, which all residents should continue to enjoy.
As the Chairperson of the Stirling Environment Advisory Group, Karlo recognises the importance of protecting our natural environment. From group walks with the residents around Lake Gwelup Reserve and Trigg Bushland, to the community consultations around the Careniup Wetlands and strong support for the dog exercise area at Carine Open Space, Karlo understands how these are an integral part for the wellbeing of our community.
Karlo has had a distinguished management career, which has only been possible by keeping current with industry best practices. Becoming a Councillor may be regarded as a part time role, but with Karlo, you will always get full time commitment.
