BUILDing community through interactive workshops

The City’s free BUILD series returns with three free, hands-on workshops coming up for residents, community groups, clubs and not-for-profit groups.
Effective, Inclusive and Compliant Committees | Wednesday 28 October | 5.30pm – 7.30pm | Mount Flora Regional Museum, Watermans Bay
This workshop will explore what it takes to establish and maintain effective, inclusive and compliant committees that support positive participation, good governance and long-term sustainability.
Participants will gain practical information and skills to turn ideas into action, including tips to manage any conflict along the way.
Fundraising Beyond Grants | Wednesday 18 November | 5.30pm – 7.30pm | Osborne Community Hub, Tuart Hill
This workshop will equip participants with actionable strategies to build a stronger, more sustainable funding base.
Attendees will evaluate their current funding mix and uncover hidden assets while exploring diverse revenue streams like sponsorships, donations, memberships and business partnerships.
Micro Volunteering | Wednesday 25 November | 5.00pm – 7.00pm | Activity Room, Stirling Leisure – Osborne Community Centre, Tuart Hill
This practical workshop will explore the power of micro volunteering (bite-sized, meaningful volunteering opportunities) and how to break down traditional barriers to participation.
