Stirling Women's Shed

Officially established in February 2020 at the Scarborough Community Hub, the Stirling Women's Shed has become a place for women to learn practical skills while building social connections through a variety of workshops. These workshops have focused on expanding the skills and knowledge of women including craft, minor home repairs and tool use, basic car maintenance, wood carving and self-defence.

Expressions of interest are now open!

Recently, the City conducted a review of the needs of the Stirling Women’s Shed which asked women of all ages their thoughts and experiences to help shape the future needs of the space.

Following the review of the Stirling Women’s Shed’s needs, the City is now inviting expressions of interest for the occupant/s of the Stirling Women’s Shed at Scarborough Community Hub.

Expressions of interest will need to identify how occupant/s will deliver meaningful outcomes for women which:

  • Foster social inclusion and connection through shared experiences, networking and learning with other women
  • Create a sense of community and connection for women
  • Provide opportunities for lifelong learning
  • Promote physical and mental wellbeing through meaningful engagement.

Applications close 5.00pm, Monday 28 July 2025.

For more information, please refer to the Stirling Women’s Shed Expression of Interest document.
