In accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 the City provides public notice for various matters that may affect the community, including the review of local laws, disposal of property, road closures and local government elections, amongst others. Public notices give our residents, local businesses and customers an opportunity to provide feedback and enquire about the matters at hand.

Notice of Intention to Review Meeting Procedures Local Law

The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety is progressing standard meeting procedures regulations to create uniform requirements and replace existing meeting procedures local laws for local governments. These reforms are expected to be implemented in 2027-28.


However, in accordance with section 3.16 of the Local Government Act 1995 (the Act), and transitional provisions with clause 65, Schedule 9.3 of the Act the City of Stirling is required to undertake a review of the City of Stirling Meeting Procedures Local Law 2021.


As part of this review, the City is seeking community feedback to help identify whether the local law, and the provisions within it, require amendment or repeal.

A copy of the local law may be inspected, and copies obtained from the City’s Administration Office, 25 Cedric Street, Stirling or from www.stirling.wa.gov.au

The upcoming reforms by the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety will be considered by the City of Stirling Council in determining whether any further action in regard to the City’s Meeting Procedures Local Law will progress.

Notice of Proposal to Dispose of Property

The City of Stirling hereby gives notice in accordance with Section 3.58 of the Local Government Act 1995 of the proposed disposal of property by sale as described below.

 

Property: 6A Bazaar Terrace, Scarborough – Lot 1251 Deposited Plan 431110 being the whole of the land on Certificate of Title Volume 4097 Folio 745.

Vendor: City of Stirling

Purchaser: Andrea May Kurasho and Kenjiro Kurasho

Consideration: $1,086,000 including GST (if applicable)

Market value: $875,000 including GST (if applicable) as undertaken by an independent Licenced Valuer on 3 June 2026

Submissions in respect of the proposed disposal of property are to be made to the Chief Executive Officer before 5.00pm, Thursday 27 August 2026. Submissions should be in writing and marked “Submission: 6A Bazaar Terrace, Scarborough”. Submissions may also be made by email to propertyservices@stirling.wa.gov.au
