In accordance with the Local Government Act 1995 the City provides public notice for various matters that may affect the community, including the review of local laws, disposal of property, road closures and local government elections, amongst others. Public notices give our residents, local businesses and customers an opportunity to provide feedback and enquire about the matters at hand.

Notice of public advertisement of planning proposal

Planning and Development Act 2005 City of Stirling

The City of Stirling has received a Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) application for the ECU Mount Lawley Redevelopment site.

Property: No. 2 (Lot No’s 11328, 11922 and portion of 15125) Bradford Street, Mount Lawley

Proposal: The purpose of the proposed PSP is to provide a framework for land use, zoning and for future subdivision and development applications.

A summary of the proposed PSP includes:

  • Residential land use - between 700 and 1100 dwellings
  • Mixed use - Supermarket, Commercial and Apartments
  • Education use - Primary School site
  • Special purpose use - WAAPA, Administration and Library
  • Public Open Space areas.

The City’s role in the process is to review the PSP, and for Council to make a recommendation to the Western Australian Planning Commission, who are the decision maker for the proposal.

Notice of intention to Make a Local Law

Notice is hereby given, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon the City of Stirling by the Local Government Act 1995, of the intention of local government to make the following local law:

City of Stirling Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2026

The purpose of the City of Stirling Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2026 is to amend certain provisions within the City of Stirling Local Government Property Local Law 2009.

The effect of the City of Stirling Local Government Property Amendment Local Law 2026 is to clarify certain terms used in the City of Stirling Local Government Property Local Law 2009 and to enable the local government to appropriately manage activities on specific local government property throughout the district.

This local law may be inspected, and copies obtained from the City’s Administration Office, 25 Cedric Street, Stirling or from www.stirling.wa.gov.au

Submissions must be made online at www.stirling.wa.gov.au/local-laws-review or in writing by 5.00pm, Thursday 14 May 2026 to:
