Governance and transparency

The City of Stirling takes its responsibility to residents seriously and is committed to providing good governance for its community.

The City of Stirling requires a corporate governance framework to ensure effective service provision, proper democratic governance and stakeholder engagement, encompassing residents, businesses, and visitors.

The practice of good governance is critical for ensuring that:

  • The City meets legal and ethical compliance
  • Decisions are made in the interests of all stakeholders
  • The organisation behaves as a good corporate citizen.

The City’s adopted Governance Framework set out the roles of Elected Members and the Administration and their relationships, along with various financial, legal and ethical considerations needed to provide good governance.
