Sustainable Stirling
On 7 July 2026, the City of Stirling Council adopted Sustainable Stirling 2026 – 2036, following a major review of the City’s Strategic Community Plan in partnership with our community.
Sustainable Stirling 2026 – 2036 is the City of Stirling’s primary planning document, outlining our long‑term vision and objectives for the next decade, across five key result areas:
- Our community
- Our economy
- Our built environment
- Our natural environment
- Our leadership.
The Strategic Community Plan guides decision‑making, resource allocation and the delivery of services and projects, ensuring our work aligns with the needs and aspirations of our community.
Sustainable Stirling 2026 – 2036 can also be viewed in person at the City’s Administration Centre or Stirling Libraries.

The our economy key result area is made up three objectives; a smart and prosperous City, a local business City and a vibrant City.
Our Natural Environment
The our natural Environment key result area is made up three objectives; an energy-smart City, a waterwise City, a biodiverse City and a waste-wise City.
Our Built Environment
The our built environment key result area is made up three objectives; a liveable City, an accessible and connected City and an attractive and well-maintained City.
Our Leadership
The our leadership key result area is made up three objectives; a well-governed City, a customer-focused City and a capable and efficient City.
Corporate Business Plan
The Corporate Business Plan, together with the Strategic Community Plan form the City's 'plan for the future'.
The current Corporate Business Plan 2025 - 2029 was adopted by Council on 1 July 2025 and is a key Council document that sets out in detail how the City plans to serve its diverse community through efficient, responsive and sustainable services, projects and programs.
The Corporate Business Plan 2025 - 2029 lists the services, projects and programs that will be delivered over the next four years. The Plan will be reviewed annually to reflect new and emerging opportunities and challenges, while delivering the City's long-term vision to be the place where people choose to live, work, visit and invest.
