The Stirling Local Drug Action Team (SLDAT) is a coalition group focused on preventing and minimising alcohol and other drug (AOD) harms in the City of Stirling.
The SLDAT uses evidence-based strategies to help prevent or delay AOD uptake among young people. It also aims to increase awareness of practical ways that individuals can reduce AOD-related harm, support their well-being, and strengthen protective factors while reducing risk factors.
Harm minimisation is achieved through three main pillars:
- Demand reduction
- Supply reduction
- Harm reduction.
Initiatives are guided by expert knowledge of SLDAT members, aiming to reduce AOD-related harm in the City of Stirling in line with best practice and evidence-based responses.
