CEO standards and performance criteria

All local governments are required to undertake an annual review of the CEO’s performance. This is a requirement under the Local Government Act 1995, and the Model Standards for CEO Recruitment, Performance and Termination.

The City of Stirling Council and the CEO have agreed on a process for performance reviews and the setting of performance criteria against which the CEO’s performance will be assessed. 

A CEO Performance Review Committee has been established to facilitate the CEO performance review process. 

Model standards

The Model Standards for CEO Recruitment, Performance and Termination sets out standards to be observed by the local government in relation to the recruitment, performance and termination of CEOs.

The Model Standards were adopted by Council at the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 16 March 2021.
