Art Awards and Exhibition 2025

The 2025 City of Stirling Art Awards and Exhibition was a resounding success! Whilst the gallery doors have sadly closed, we have a lot to celebrate.

In this biennale event we exhibited an extraordinary collection of 158 new and diverse artworks from Western Australian artists of various careers stages. Our Public Program was enthusiastically endorsed by the community, and over 1200 people visited the exhibition. 42 artworks found new homes with artists receiving 100% of the sale price, including 5 that were acquired into the City of Stirling's Art Collection for residents and visitors to enjoy.

We would like to thank everyone for your warm embrace of this event and complimentary feedback. Every artist who bravely submitted artwork for consideration, those who were fortune enough to be selected and those who received accolades for their creations - thank you and congratulations.

Are you an artist or landowner looking to create a mural in the City of Stirling?

Murals are a great way to bring colour and life to empty walls, floors, fences and utility infrastructure. They can tell stories, highlight social issues, provide commentary, create a sense of place or simply bring beauty to a location where there was none.

Throughout the year, the City works with a number of community groups and businesses to deliver murals to bring life and vibrancy to an area. Before you get started on your mural project, there are some things to consider.

Read the City’s handy Mural Guide to find out more, and reach out to the City's Public Art Officer on 9205 8555 or at art@stirling.wa.gov.au for any mural enquiries.
