Stirling SES opens new headquarters

The Stirling State Emergency Service (SES) has held a ceremonial opening for its $2.7 million headquarters in Osborne Park this week.
For many years, Stirling SES operated from ageing and limited facilities at Des Penman Reserve and Sylvia Street in Nollamara.
Situated on a 2,000sqm property in the Osborne Park industrial area, the new headquarters feature a 950sqm administration building, two warehouses and 24 parking bays.
The location of the new headquarters was chosen in collaboration with Stirling SES and Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) to provide convenient access to major roads to reduce response times.
The City of Stirling, DFES and the WA Government worked in partnership to secure the property and turn it into a fit-for-purpose SES headquarters.
It will be a hub for preparedness, response, resilience and recovery in the City and will give emergency services a base to train, plan and coordinate their operations.
