How to report crime and anti-social behaviour?
It was fantastic to see the strong engagement with our first Innaloo Insights newsletter. The series is about responding directly to the community about neighbourhood priorities to foster stronger dialogue.
This month we are excited to address another top-voted key question:
How to report crime and anti-social behaviour?
The City is committed to fostering a strong sense of safety by working collaboratively with the police, residents, community organisations and key stakeholders.
Community safety relies on understanding local issues, perceptions of safety, as well as active participation and ongoing communication. We encourage the community to remain vigilant and report incidents promptly or reports of antisocial behaviour.
Know who to call when reporting:
- Non-urgent police assistance: 131 444 – Reckless e-bike riding/speeding, ongoing safety concerns and antisocial behaviour
- Emergency police: 000 – an incident involving a threat to life or serious injury
- Stirling Community Patrol: 1300 365 356 – Suspicious or antisocial behaviour, illegal dumping, abandoned buildings, community disturbances, or incidents where you are unsure whether to report
- Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 – To anonymously report suspicions of drug-related activity.
For more information about crime prevention, visit www.stirling.wa.gov.au/security.
What have been the top reports?
In the 2024/25 financial year, we observed a positive trend in community engagement, with more residents actively calling Stirling Community Patrol on 1300 365 356.
The top five reports include:
- Security assistance – Illegal dumping, abandoned trolleys and unhitched trailers
- General security – graffiti, sign damage and illegal signage
- Suspicious persons/vehicles
- Noise complaints
- Anti-social behaviour.
Join us for a Safety Check
The City of Stirling’s Safety Check program is a community safety engagement initiative designed to give residents a platform to voice neighbourhood safety concerns.
To support this month’s topic, we’re inviting you to join us at Yuluma Reserve to chat all things community safety. As part of this Safety Check initative we have partnered with the Innaloo Community Association Incorporated, who will be hosting a community BBQ.
Everyone is welcome!
