Did you know a baby will go through between 4,000 and 6,000 nappies before they are toilet trained?

Disposable nappies cost around $3,000 for just one child while modern cloth nappies are significantly cheaper and can be used for multiple children.

Gone are the days of pins, soaking or bleaching. Modern cloth nappies are fitted, easy to wash and come in cute designs. Using them will save you money and help the planet.

The City of Stirling is holding a series of free Modern Cloth Nappy pop-in Q&A sessions to help you make the switch or just supplement with reusables while at home.

Presented by Kam from The Nappy Guru, these free sessions are a great opportunity to:

  • Find out what you need to get started
  • Touch and feel various styles and brands of cloth nappies
  • Practice fitting nappies on demo dolls
  • Learn how to effectively wash nappies
  • Talk to like-minded parents
  • Get support and tips if you are already using cloth nappies.

The City is also offering a 50 per cent rebate (up to a max $100) to residents who purchase or hire modern cloth nappies after attending a Modern Cloth Nappy workshop or pop-in session (terms and conditions apply).

Come along and get all the information you need:

There are a limited number of giveaways for attendees and everyone is welcome! Booking is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome.

The City runs a range of waste initiatives and programs for schools and residents.
