Why join a community garden?

Community gardens are places where people gather to share knowledge and experiences.

With a focus on sustainability, the City’s gardens repurpose used materials, follow organic gardening methods, monitor water usage and make compost from donated kitchen scraps and green waste.

Members can access private or community growing beds, join weekly group gardening days, learn new skills and trade seeds and cuttings. The gardens also provide an outlet for new friendships to be formed by helping residents connect.
