The Locals
Slow down, connect with nature, and discover the ancient art of basketry right here in Scarborough.
Joined by the talented Cath from Garden of Weaving, this hands-on workshop guides you through crafting a beautiful, functional twined basket using sustainably foraged garden plants.
You’ll learn how to identify local natural fibres, prepare plant materials for weaving, and master foundational twining techniques to transform garden greens into a lasting handmade vessel.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand your creative skills, you’ll walk away with your own unique creation and the knowledge to forage and weave at home.
