About the author

Madeline Te Whiu is a Perth based fantasy author and veterinary nurse who lives in semi-rural Western Australia with her husband, a menagerie of animals and an ever growing collection of books.

A lifelong lover of fantasy fiction, she draws inspiration from richly imagined worlds, compelling characters and epic storytelling. Her debut novel, The Assassin Thief, was shortlisted for the 2023 WA Premier's Book Awards in the Emerging Writer category. In 2024, she completed the Soul Thief trilogy with the publication of its final instalment.

Madeline is currently working on her next novel and looks forward to introducing readers to a new world of adventure, characters and perhaps a dash of trauma.
