Throughout September and October, the City's Planning Team will visit all 30 suburbs across the City of Stirling for a series of Coffee Convos about what it means to live locally and the future growth of our City.
Each Coffee Convo will explore your suburb's strengths, challenges and future priorities, helping us understand what people value most about their local area and what opportunities we should focus on together to create unique and liveable neighbourhoods.
Whether you have five minutes or can stay for the full hour, everyone is welcome to stop by for a coffee and chat. Your local knowledge and lived experience will help shape the future of your suburb and the wider City.

The City is expected to welcome 115,000 new residents within the next 30 years, requiring 51,000 new homes. Growth is driven by population trends and State Government targets – and it’s our chance to shape a more vibrant, connected, and sustainable City.

Each Coffee Convo will explore your suburb’s strengths, challenges and focus areas, helping us better understand what it means to live locally.
Community members will receive a worksheet outlining the key planning themes used to guide the City’s future. People will also have the opportunity to speak with a Planner and share what they value, the challenges they see and what should be prioritised as the City grows.

Community feedback gathered through the Coffee Convos will help refine the City’s understanding of local strengths, challenges and priorities.
These insights will support the preparation of key informing plans that that guide how we’ll achieve our long-term goals as outlined in Sustainable Stirling 2026 - 2036.

We want to hear from people of all ages about what it means to live locally. Alongside our Coffee Convos, the City will be hosting Youth Convos in local schools across Stirling using the same worksheet to explore local strengths, challenges and future priorities from a youth perspective.
These conversations will complement the City'sYouth Focus project, helping to ensure young people's ideas, experiences and aspirations are reflected in the future planning of our neighbourhoods. Learn more about the Youth Focus project.
