Junior sports competitions

Junior sports competitions are a fun and social way for the kids to stay active. Our Friday evening Junior indoor soccer competitions nominations are now open.

Registrations of interest are open to join a team competing in the current season. Once your details are in the system, our staff can then get in contact with you if teams are looking for additional players.

Please note, by registering as an individual this does not guarantee a place in a team.

Fixtures

You can view your team's fixtures via our online portal using the link below. Junior competitions will commence from 3.45pm. 

Fixtures and results

Teams will be required to pay the game fee prior to the commencement of the game each week. The weekly game fee is $64.50 per team, no registration fees.

Withdrawals

At the end of the season, teams can decide whether to re-nominate into the next season or not. Teams that choose to withdraw their team during the season will incur a $100.00 withdrawal fee.

Sports are a great way for kids to learn important skills, such as teamwork, sportsmanship and a strong work ethic. Sessions are available at Stirling Leisure - Mirrabooka.

Junior indoor soccer

Junior indoor soccer coaching programs are held at Stirling Leisure – Mirrabooka. Programs are tailored for ages 5 to 12, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and fun.

Experienced coaches provide engaging sessions that help your child build their game while fostering a love for the sport. Classes run for 60 minutes and are split into two age groups, for more information view timetables.

Our junior basketball sessions are available at Stirling Leisure - Hamersley and Stirling Leisure - Mirrabooka. This program is now run by the Warwick Senators. What skill levels do the programs accommodate?
Our programs cater to various skill levels, from beginners to more experienced young athletes. We structure sessions to accommodate and challenge all participants.

What should my child bring/wear to the session?
Participants should wear appropriate sports attire and footwear. It's recommended to bring a water bottle.

Who are the coaches and what qualifications do they hold?
Our coaches are certified professionals with experience in coaching junior athletes. They undergo background checks and hold relevant coaching certifications.

How are the session structured?
Sessions are typically structured to focus on skill development, teamwork, and game understanding. They often include drills, practice games, and fun activities tailored to the age group.

What is the duration of the program?
Our programs are held weekly and run in line with the school term.

Sports programs

Our sport classes are run by qualified and experienced coaches. Get Active in the holidays and come join us for some fun on court. This program is for children aged 5 until child turns 12.

Mini chef program

Kids can get cooking and learn basic kitchen skills these school holidays with our mini chef program. Take home a plate of food cooked during the class and the recipe - so it can be recreated at home! Please note children with allergies or dietary requirements may not be suitable for this program. This program is for children aged 6 until child turns 13

Arts and crafts program

Children can get creative in our arts and crafts programs. Design, decorate, and have fun creating something special with guidance from our instructors. Take home the instructions with your child's unique creation for future inspiration. This program is for children aged 6 until child turns 13.

Dance and Disco program

Children can get groovy in our dance and disco programs. Learn, move, and have fun dancing to the beat with guidance from our energetic instructors. Take home the dance steps and routines with your child's unique flair for future dance parties. This program is for children aged 6 until child turns 13.

What should participants bring/wear to the session?

Participants must wear appropriate clothing. Sports programs require comfortable sports clothing and enclosed running shoes. Thongs and sandals are not permitted. It’s recommended to bring a water bottle.

Should I advise staff about allergies or dietary requirements?

Yes. Participants should notify staff before enrolling if they have dietary requirements or allergies that may affect their participation.

Can I get a refund if I miss a class?

No. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds, credits, or make-up classes.

Can I withdraw from a class and receive a refund?

Refunds or credits may be considered where a medical certificate is provided. An administration fee may apply.

Do parents need to stay during their child's class?

Children under 13 years participating in a City of Stirling-run program must remain under the supervision of a responsible person (16 years or older) until signed into the program and must be collected at the conclusion of the class.

Can someone else collect my child?

Yes, but reception staff must be informed in advance if another parent, family member, or friend will collect your child.

Can I take photos or videos during classes?

No. Photography and video recording are prohibited unless prior approval has been obtained from management and participants.

Mini chef term programs

The mini chef programs are a great way for children to learn basic cooking skills and kitchen safety. Every participant will bring home a snack to share. These programs are a great way to get the children into the kitchen to start cooking at home.

What if my child has a food allergy?
Please contact us before registering. This program is not suitable for children with food allergies.

What do I need to bring?
The following items are required for each class:

  • Container to bring the food home
  • Suitable enclosed shoes
  • Hair tie to tie long hair back
