FAQs

Through Landgate, the Valuer General assesses the Gross Rental Value (GRV) of each individual property every three years. GRV valuations were last updated for the 2025/26 financial year. The City applies a rate in the dollar to the GRV to calculate the rates amount.

The City has supported Stirling residents over the last 4 years, with minimal rate increases below CPI. The cost of delivering the City’s services has continued to increase over this time and the proposed Rate rise of 4.5% for 2025/26 will enable the continued delivery of our services.

Electors and ratepayers are invited to make submissions in respect of the proposed rates, minimum payments, or any other related matters.
