FAQs

Through Landgate, the Valuer General assesses the Gross Rental Value (GRV) of each individual property every three years. GRV valuations were last updated for the 2026/27 financial year. The City applies a rate in the dollar to the GRV to calculate the rates amount.

The City has supported Stirling residents over the last four years, with minimal rate increases below CPI. The cost of delivering the City’s services has continued to increase over this time and the proposed residential rate rise of 4.9% for 2026/27 will enable the continued delivery of our services.

Electors and ratepayers are invited to make submissions in respect of the proposed rates, minimum payments, or any other related matters.
