Whale Playground maintenance closure

Scarborough’s Whale Playground will be closed from Tuesday 28 April to Friday 8 May for maintenance.
The Whale Playground will be closed for routine maintenance between Tuesday 28 April and Friday 8 May 2026.
During this time, works set to go ahead include cleaning of the soft fall rubber, replacement of soft fall white sand, painting timber areas, as well as cleaning and resealing hardstand paving areas.
The nearest playgrounds are located at Brighton Beach Reserve, which is south of the Whale Playground.
