Underground power works begin in Doubleview
Construction has begun in Doubleview as part of the Doubleview underground power project.
Delivered in partnership between the City and Western Power, the underground power project involves converting overhead distribution powerlines to underground power.
With crews now on the ground in your neighbourhood please be mindful of workers and heavy vehicles, drive carefully and take note of signage directing cars and pedestrians. Your assistance will help to ensure the works can be carried out safely and efficiently.
Once complete, underground power will offer improved reliability and safety, while increasing power supply capacity, improving property values, street appeal and allowing the tree canopy to flourish.
