Smooth sounds wash over Scarborough Beach at JazzConnect

From Friday 29 August to Sunday 31 August, this JazzConnect turns the Scarborough Beach foreshore into one big music precinct.
Perth’s beachside jazz festival is back to send off winter with three days of live music at Scarborough Beach, proudly presented by the City of Stirling.
From Friday 29 August to Sunday 31 August, this unmissable highlight turns the Scarborough Beach foreshore into one big music precinct.
Enjoy great local artists, iconic venues and spectacular ocean views at 17 diverse events across 10 venues, all within easy walk. Whether you’re a jazz devotee or just want to hear great live music with a view, the program offers a rich mix of performances and artists to discover at a range of free and ticketed events for all ages.
Mayor Mark Irwin said JazzConnect reflects the City’s vision to foster connected, creative communities.
“JazzConnect is a brilliant way to enjoy our Scarborough venues in a new light,” said Mayor Irwin.
“This event brings people together to experience outstanding local music in some of Perth’s most scenic and vibrant spaces. We’re proud to support an initiative that energises the community and celebrates creativity across the foreshore.”
Come and enjoy Perth’s very own woman of soul, Sophie Foster, or enjoy some of Perth’s most exciting contemporary musicians. Croon the afternoon away with the Basilio Brothers or dust off your swing dance moves with the Matt Cahill Combo. Enjoy a sunset samba with Marcio Mendes, the spicy Cuban rhythms of De Cuba Son, or party the night away with The Steve Hensby Band.
In collaboration with Perth Jazz Society, this year’s festival introduces new events to the program, including a journey through the history of jazz with the amazing Libby Hammer, and Jazz with Junior: a family-friendly event that parents can enjoy with their kids.
JazzConnect festival is proudly sponsored by the City of Stirling, produced by ArtConnect Initiative and supported by the Scarborough Beach Association.
