Seeking feedback on proposed No Stopping restrictions for Alford Street, Balcatta

22 April 2026

The City of Stirling is committed to supporting liveable neighbourhoods. A key part of this is providing safe and accessible roads.

Residents of Alford Street in Balcatta have expressed concerns about the reduced accessibility to their street and driveways during school drop-off/pick-up hours due to parked vehicles.

To address resident concerns, the City is considering the installation of No Stopping signage on the street to discourage vehicles from parking during school drop-off and pick-up hours (7.30am – 9.00am and 2.30pm – 4.00pm).

The Community Safety team will respond where possible, however, competing operational priorities may limit how often officers are able to visit the street.

Responses received will help inform the decision-making process. Residents who provide feedback will be kept informed of the outcome.
