New Sheldrake Reserve sports facility on the way

Upgrades to the sports change room facility at Sheldrake Reserve are underway, with the premises getting prepared for demolition and replacement with a new facility.
The new facility will include four player change rooms fitted with combined shower and toilet amenities to service multiple teams simultaneously, a single umpire change room with associated amenities to support match officials, as well as a storage room for sports equipment and operational use.
The exterior of the new facility will include a full-length veranda along the building’s frontage, providing weather protection, passive supervision and a shaded transition space between indoor facilities and the sports grounds.
The new facility prioritises functionality, durability, and ease of maintenance, with clear separation between player, umpire, and storage areas to meet sporting association requirements and flexible use by multiple teams during training and competition.
Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed in April 2027.
