Temporary parking arrangement at Almadine Silica Reserve

The City has approved the temporary use of a section of Almadine Silica Reserve in Carine for construction-related parking during the St Ives Retirement Living redevelopment.
The arrangement is intended to reduce parking impacts on surrounding residential streets and is approved until April 2027.
The parking area is limited to a defined section of unirrigated turf and does not extend into surrounding bushland. Existing conservation fencing remains in place to protect nearby vegetation and habitat, and additional barriers have been installed to ensure vehicles remain within the approved area. Pedestrian access through the reserve has been maintained.
Once construction is complete, the site will be rehabilitated and returned to its previous condition.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions about this project, please contact the City via the online enquiry form or Customer Services on (08) 9205 8555.
