The City has marked the public release of its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2026 – 2028 with a meeting of the RAP Working Group and Director Community Development Michael Quirk hosted by Mayor Mark Irwin.

Attendees shared ideas on how to deliver the more than 60 actions and deliverables outlined in the RAP, the product of an extensive community engagement process called Dandjoo Wangkiny (Together Talking).

In addition to a strong focus on improving local economic outcomes for Aboriginal people, the new RAP also includes a commitment to holding regular educational and cultural learning activities throughout the year, such as Aboriginal Cultural Storytime – coming to Stirling Libraries – Inglewood on Friday 20 March as part of Harmony Week.
