Free trees and plants giveaway

Registrations for our Free Trees and Plants program open this month.

The City’s Free Trees and Plants program returns this month to help residents create cooler, greener and more waterwise neighbourhoods.

Eligible residents can apply for up to four free trees and 10 native plants – perfect for boosting biodiversity, reducing household water use and supporting local wildlife.

Registrations open on the City’s website at 10.00am on Wednesday 25 March. The tree species guide will be available to download from the Living Green page of our website from 11 March.

This is a very popular program and spots fill fast – mark your calendar so you don’t miss out!

To prepare for the autumn period, contribute to a safer community by checking your verge and garden areas to ensure vegetation is trimmed back and not obstructing public pathways or vehicle sightlines.
