Muscle up with Scarborough’s new Beachfit Zone

The City of Stirling has a new home for beachside fitness with the installation of a first-rate outdoor gym at Scarborough Beach.
Featuring a mix of bars, rings and other static equipment at a range of heights, the new Beachfit Zone is accessible for exercise enthusiasts of all ages and abilities.
Built to withstand outdoor conditions, the size and scale of the installation is unique along Perth’s coastline, setting it up as a prime destination for bodyweight training.
It combines top-quality equipment with an idyllic setting at the northern end of the Scarborough Beach foreshore, where landscaping and tree-planting formed part of the project.
The workout stations include instructions on their use as well as QR codes linking to demonstration videos to help visitors have a go, no matter where they are on their fitness journey.
“There are some famous beachside fitness precincts around the world, from Muscle Beach in Santa Monica to the street workout park at Bondi Beach, so it’s great that Scarborough Beach can now provide a similar exercise experience,” City of Stirling Mayor Mark Irwin AM said.
“I like that accessibility has been factored into the design, so regardless of your fitness level there's something in it for you.
“The Beachfit Zone has been heavily used since it opened last week and it’s only going to get more popular as word gets out.”
