Mirrabooka Koort (Heart of Mirrabooka) celebration

The City is hosting a free community celebration on Saturday 15 November marking the official opening of the newly upgraded Mirrabooka Town Square – a welcoming, colourful space at the heart of the community.
Join us from 10.00am to 1.00pm for a day filled with live acoustic music, a special didgeridoo performance, Perth Glory player appearances and a variety of family-friendly activities, including:
- Children’s art workshops and activities
- Face painting
- Sausage sizzle
- Ice cream
- Exciting giveaways
- Local community organisations
- And much more!
Located on Sudbury Road, Mirrabooka Town Square is conveniently situated between the Mirrabooka Bus Station and The Square Mirrabooka Shopping Centre.
The revitalised space now features:
- Beautiful native trees and plants
- Striking public art installations, including wood carvings by Dan Iley, large printed sails by Nyoongar artist Emily Rose and 30 hand-painted bollards along Sudbury Road by Marisa Santosa and Iwan Isnin in collaboration with students from Boyare Primary School
- New bench seating, upgraded lighting and a spacious decking area.
