Mirrabooka Koort (Heart of Mirrabooka) celebration

The City is hosting a free community celebration on Saturday 15 November marking the official opening of the newly upgraded Mirrabooka Town Square – a welcoming, colourful space at the heart of the community.

Join us from 10.00am to 1.00pm for a day filled with live acoustic music, a special didgeridoo performance, Perth Glory player appearances and a variety of family-friendly activities, including:

Children’s art workshops and activities
Face painting
Sausage sizzle
Ice cream
Exciting giveaways
Local community organisations
And much more!

Located on Sudbury Road, Mirrabooka Town Square is conveniently situated between the Mirrabooka Bus Station and The Square Mirrabooka Shopping Centre.

The revitalised space now features:

Beautiful native trees and plants
Striking public art installations, including wood carvings by Dan Iley, large printed sails by Nyoongar artist Emily Rose and 30 hand-painted bollards along Sudbury Road by Marisa Santosa and Iwan Isnin in collaboration with students from Boyare Primary School
New bench seating, upgraded lighting and a spacious decking area.
