Get a kick out of reading with Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller

Every year on 27 May, one picture book by an Australian author and illustrator is read simultaneously across venues nationwide as part of National Simultaneous Storytime.

In this FIFA World Cup year, the book is Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller – the story of the captain of soccer team FC Outback as she faces off against the fearsome Bush United.

To celebrate all things soccer, Stirling Libraries have teamed up with Perth Glory for National Simultaneous Storytime 2026.

Come to a National Simultaneous Storytime session at select Stirling Libraries from 25-29 May and enter our photo competition for your chance to win prizes signed by the Perth Glory Women’s squad.
