From self-doubt to self-belief: Insights from She Brews Success

Local women in business gathered at Sunny Social in Karrinyup on 30 June for the latest She Brews Success event, delivered in partnership with Business Station.

Held at the City's Hamersley Public Golf Course, the event marked an exciting new location for the popular networking series, providing a fresh setting for connection, learning and conversation.

Guests enjoyed barista-made coffee and morning tea while connecting with fellow business owners, entrepreneurs and professionals from across the City of Stirling. The relaxed atmosphere encouraged attendees to exchange ideas, build new relationships and strengthen their local business networks.

The event featured guest speaker Andrea Creado, CEO, board director, mentor and City of Stirling Councillor, who shared insights from her leadership journey spanning business, governance, advocacy and community leadership. As a first-generation migrant woman, Andrea spoke openly about the challenges and opportunities that have shaped her career and the importance of backing yourself in business.

Through an engaging interview-style conversation, participants explored themes including confidence, visibility, influence and leadership, as well as the role meaningful relationships can play in creating new opportunities. Andrea's practical advice and honest reflections resonated with women at all stages of their business journey, from those just starting out to established business owners looking to grow their impact.

A key focus of the discussion was the value of stepping outside your comfort zone, speaking up with confidence and building connections that can support both personal and professional growth. Attendees left with practical takeaways, fresh perspectives and renewed motivation to pursue opportunities within their own businesses and careers.
