Conservation call this nesting season

Kambarang – the ‘Season of Birth’ – is a busy time for our conservation team, who are working hard to ensure the health and wellbeing of our wildlife and our community.

You can help by:

Keeping nesting snake-necked turtles safe by driving and riding slowly around wetlands, keeping dogs on leash or under control and logging turtle sightings on the TurtleSAT app
Avoiding nesting magpie swooping hotspots Clarko Reserve, Maurice Hamer, Breckler Park and Carine Regional Open Space
Sticking to designated paths to reduce the likelihood of an encounter with reptiles and snakes coming out to bask in the sun
Staying at least 10 metres away from rainbow bee-eater nesting sites at Lake Gwelup, Duart Arnott and Stirling Civic Gardens.
