Balga Ward Councillors Andrea Creado and Michael Dudek recently visited the new mural in the Mirrabooka Community Hub entryway by Argentinian-Australian artist Yani Mengoni.

Developed through community consultation, the 24m-long mural was inspired by the places and everyday moments of Mirrabooka, celebrating diversity, belonging and the strength of community.

As part of the Balga Biodiversity Corridor, a new native waterwise verge garden was installed near Camberwell Park, featuring 450 endemic plants suited to Perth’s conditions.

Stirling Leisure – Mirrabooka hosted Mirrabooka NAIDOC last month, which brought thousands of people together in celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
