Children’s Week is a national celebration held annually across Australia, aimed at raising awareness about the rights of children, as outlined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The 2025 Children’s Week National Theme is based on Article 42: Everyone should know about Children’s Rights!
Children’s Week runs from 18 to 26 October, with celebrations held across Australia.
Children’s rights are fundamental rights that ensure every child can grow up safely, healthily, and happily.

The City of Stirling is proud to be supporting children to be seen, heard and celebrated in our community. We invite children and families from across the community to come together and join in some of the activities occurring around the City.
Proudly presented by the Communities for Children Mirrabooka Team, facilitating partner The Smith Family, in partnership with the City of Stirling.

We invite children and families from across our community to come together and kick off Children’s Week celebrations with a fun morning in the park – filled with yoga, drumming, soccer, and craft activities for everyone to enjoy!

Communities for Children Mirrabooka is hosting a free Messy Play activity for children and families.
Come along and enjoy some sensory fun with your little ones – play, explore and connect with others in the community!

Join us for a free afternoon of fun at Sudbury House.
Activities include; face painting, balloon twisting, jumping castle and a BBQ.
The City supports the growth, development and well-being of our children and young people. We do this through provision of child friendly spaces including our parks and playgrounds, libraries and leisure centres, and a range of community partnerships and initiatives.
