The 2026 residency program offered six artists time and space to deepen and extend their practice through an immersive, site-responsive residency.

Artists were encouraged to engage with and respond to the history, geography, physical qualities, character or community of their studio location through their arts practice.

Each of the six artists were selected for their considered intentions, grounded in strong research, demonstrated arts practice and community-engaged or participatory approaches.

Over a period of nine weeks, these artists have embraced their residency spaces, developing new work and, expanding their practice, connecting with new audiences, and entering into a dialogue with place, be it reflecting upon or representing the stories and lived experiences of the people or groups they have interacted with or researched.

This exhibition presents the outcomes of the 2026 City of Stirling Artist in Residence program. On display will be finished artworks, works in progress, collaborative community projects, documentation of process and reflections on the practice and experience of the program, grounded in our community and our places.

The exhibiting artists are: Claire Davenhall and Amanda Kendle | May Kee Cheah |Sheree Dohnt | Jenni Vacca | Rebecca Ryan
