The City’s role is to provide a recommendation to the DAP through a Responsible Authority Report. As part of preparing the City’s Responsible Authority Report to the DAP, the City is seeking your comments on the proposal. Any comments will be included within the Responsible Authority Report to ensure that the community’s views have the opportunity to form part of the DAP’s consideration of the proposal. The proposed commercial development is located on multiple lots on Scarborough Beach Road and Ewen Street, in Innaloo and Woodlands. A summary of the proposal is provided below and includes:
- The construction of a single-storey shopping centre with associated roof-top car parking
- The shopping centre contains 11 commercial tenancies, consisting of:
- Eight Shop tenancies, including one tenancy exceeding 3,800m2 in floor area
- Two Restaurant tenancies, including associated outdoor dining areas
- One Recreation-Private tenancy
- A landscaped outdoor pedestrian space between Scarborough Beach Road and Ewen Street, providing access to the commercial tenancies
- A total of 174 car bays, which includes 168 publicly accessible bays in the roof-top car park
- Vehicle access and service arrangements are from Scarborough Beach Road and Ewen Street
- Modifications to the vehicle access for the existing Service Station at House Number 365 Scarborough Beach Road.
