The City of Stirling seeks community feedback on proposed road closure

Community feedback is sought in relation to a proposed temporary closure of the Tyler Street and Cape Street intersection.
The City is asking residents within the proximity of the Tyler Street and Cape Street intersection for feedback on a proposal to temporarily close the intersection. The aim of the trial closure is to allow the City the opportunity to monitor and evaluate the impact on traffic redistribution.
The intersection is frequently used by students and staff from St Kieran Catholic Primary School to access nearby school facilities. The School has requested that the City consider a trial closure of the left turn movement to improve safety of the intersection.
The City is proposing a three-month trial closure to monitor and evaluate the impact on traffic redistribution. If approved, the trial would begin early in 2026. Affected residents will be notified of the closure dates and invited to provide feedback to the City after the trial.
Residents are encouraged to provide their feedback, which will help determine whether to proceed with the temporary closure. All individuals who submit feedback will be kept updated on the outcomes.
