Spotlight on Stirling: Perth Physiotherapy and Pilates

Innaloo-based clinic Perth Physiotherapy and Pilates is more than a health provider - it’s a small business built on trust, team culture and personalised care.
A welcoming approach to health and recovery in Innaloo
Innaloo’s bustling commercial precinct is home to a growing number of health and wellness businesses, but few have carved out a reputation quite like Perth Physiotherapy and Pilates. Founded by Tahlia Cranley, the clinic has become a trusted destination for locals seeking personalised care, professional expertise and long-term results.
Putting people first
What began as a vision to create a more welcoming experience has evolved into a thriving practice that blends manual therapy with strength-based rehabilitation. “I wanted to create a welcoming space where people feel like family, not just another appointment,” Tahlia reflects. That ethos is evident in every aspect of the clinic’s approach, from the way patients are greeted to how treatment plans are tailored to individual goals.
A passion shaped by experience
Having grown up as a competitive basketball player, Tahlia understands the importance of movement and recovery. That early experience sparked her interest in physiotherapy, but it’s her clinical training and years of professional practice that underpin the business today. “Whether it’s competing in a sporting event or simply getting down on the floor to play with grandchildren, we work with each person to achieve their goals.”
Why Stirling felt like home
The decision to establish the clinic in the City of Stirling was both strategic and personal. “Stirling felt like the natural choice. It’s close to home, centrally located and full of people who value community connection,” she says. The location has allowed the team to build strong relationships with residents and businesses alike, contributing to a sense of local trust and continuity.
Evidence-based care with a personal touch
What sets Perth Physiotherapy and Pilates apart is its commitment to evidence-based care delivered with empathy. “Our difference lies in our combination of evidence-based treatment and a patient-centred approach,” Tahlia explains. Each session is designed to meet patient expectations, combining hands-on techniques with education and strengthening to reduce pain and build confidence.
Growing a strong team
Behind the scenes, the business has faced the same growing pains that many small enterprises encounter - particularly when it comes to recruitment. “One of the greatest challenges has been finding physiotherapists who share our philosophy of blending manual therapy with exercise-based rehabilitation,” she says. The solution has been to invest in mentoring and professional development, fostering a team culture that values both skill and compassion.
Collaboration and community at the core
Now a team of five, the clinic’s physiotherapists regularly collaborate on complex cases, share knowledge and celebrate wins together. “We regularly share knowledge and support one another with complex cases,” Tahlia says. “We also make time to celebrate wins, enjoy team events and strengthen our bond so that we can bring that same positive energy to the people we treat.”
Advice for local businesses
For other local businesses, Tahlia offers simple but powerful advice: “Be an active member of your community and give back to the people who support you.” It’s a philosophy that has helped her clinic grow organically, with strong word of mouth and repeat clients forming the backbone of its success.
