Osborne Park Hospital expansion – September 2026 construction update

What’s happening in September:

• Sheet piling has been completed and machinery used for these works has been removed from site
• The first structural concrete pour has been completed, with several more to follow in September
• The second of three fully electric tower cranes has arrived
• Construction of a temporary road between Limosa Close and the construction site will be completed this month
• Stage 1 works for the new northern carpark adjacent to Osborne Place will be completed this month, with Stage 2 works to start immediately afterwards.

What to expect from upcoming works:

• General construction noise, dust and vibrations. Levels are continuously monitored to remain within safe, industry-approved limits
• Tower crane horns during critical lifts when ground workers need to be alerted or move out of the way for safety reasons. At other times, two-way radios will be used to limit the noise from the tower cranes.
• Increased traffic and heavy vehicle movements where site works are taking place.
• Traffic management measures, including signage and personnel to assist pedestrians, motorists and cyclists. This may include stop-slow traffic controls and temporary diversions.
• Construction vehicles and equipment, such as survey equipment, compactors and hand tools.
• Lighting and construction activity during scheduled out-of-hours work. Impacted stakeholders will be notified ahead of these works and lighting will be directed toward the intended target to prevent excessive light spill.
• All impacts will be closely monitored and action taken promptly as needed. In addition to the Osborne Park Hospital expansion, several unrelated residential construction projects are currently underway in the surrounding area.
