Notice of filming at Scarborough Beach

Residents and visitors should be aware that filming will be taking place in and around the Scarborough Beach area on Monday 11 August, which will involve actors and vehicles on location dressed as belonging to the WA Police.
Scarborough Beach is hitting streaming as a filming location for new Australian series ‘LAM’, which is being produced by Warner Bros International Television Australia, supported by Screenwest.
‘LAM’ (working title) is a character-driven crime drama that explores the intense psychological toll of life on the run.
Residents and visitors should be aware that filming will be taking place in and around the Scarborough Beach area on Monday 11 August, which will involve actors and vehicles on location dressed as belonging to the WA Police.
All action that takes place while filming is fictional and at no risk to the public, but for the safety of crew, residents and the public, pedestrian control will be in place from 7.00am – 6.45pm along The Esplanade, the Scarborough Amphitheatre and surrounding footpaths.
Traffic and pedestrian control will be conducted by a contracted traffic management company with the approval of the City of Stirling and WA Police. Pedestrians will still be able to use the footpaths, but may be asked to wait a few minutes if filming is underway. Please follow the advice of all official personnel and signage.
The filming will not restrict access to any shops, businesses or residential properties in the area.
An additional two days of filming will take place at a private property in the area, which see essential equipment vehicles parked along The Esplanade and pedestrian or vehicle access to the precinct will not be affected on these days.
The Australian film industry relies on the assistance of the local community when filming on locations and the City of Stirling is supporting this production.
If you have any concerns on the day of filming, please contact On-Set Location Manager Karina Kelly on 1800 950 631.
