New toilet facilities and mural at Yokine Playspace

10 February 2025
The City has installed a new public toilet facility at Yokine Regional Open Space after two rounds of community consultation.
The feedback was carefully considered to ensure the facility meets the diverse needs of our community.
Designed to serve both playspace and park users, the works include:
- Four amenities: two facing the playspace and two for reserve users
- Two universally accessible and two ambulant toilets for everyone's comfort
- Larger accessible toilets for parents/carers with prams.
The new facility, situated at the Yokine Playspace, now features a fresh new mural by artist Imogen Palmer, titled First Light.
The mural artwork extends across two walls and showcases native birds and flora, complimenting the natural surroundings.
