Visitors to Scarborough Beach Reserve will soon have access to new outdoor exercise equipment, with upgrade works currently underway and expected to be completed in September 2026.

The project will deliver a modern calisthenics-style exercise area that caters to a range of ages, heights, mobility levels and physical abilities, providing an inclusive space for people to exercise and enjoy the coastal surroundings.

As part of the upgrade, the City will also install new rubber softfall, make adjustments to surrounding path networks and establish new trees and planting areas to enhance the appearance and amenity of the reserve.

During works, sections of the reserve will be temporarily fenced off to ensure public safety. Pedestrian and cyclist access may be disrupted at times, with visitors encouraged to follow on-site signage and any temporary detours.

The upgrade forms part of the City's ongoing commitment to providing accessible, high-quality recreation spaces that support active and healthy lifestyles.
