New nature play space at Gay Osborne Reserve

16 September 2026
The City is installing a new nature-based play space at Gay Osborne Reserve in Dianella.
The new play space will give local families more opportunities to play, explore and connect with nature close to home.
Works will include:
- Embankment slide into pine chip softfall
- Junior swing set into sand softfall
- Limestone scramble wall and feature limestone boulder edge
- Timber stepped logs into a mulched embankment
- Limestone seating walls
- Gravel hardstand surfaces
- Tree and shrub planting.
A section of the reserve will be temporarily fenced off during construction. Works are scheduled to commence in October, with completion expected in December 2026.
