From 9.00pm on Thursday 27 March 2025, Main Roads will be undertaking road works to construct a new dual-lane roundabout at the intersection of Scarborough Beach Road and Green Street.
Green Street will be closed between the Scarborough Beach Road and Tyler Street/Merredin Street intersections. During this time, asphalting works will be undertaken.
This closure will be in place 24/7 for approximately two weeks, with detours in place as illustrated below. Local access will be maintained for Bauxite Lane and Waterloo Street via Baden Street.
At select times, traffic controllers will monitor congestion and activate temporary traffic signals at Scarborough Beach Road's intersections with Ellesmere Street and Merredin Street.
Please allow extra time for your journey or seek an alternate route where possible.
