Flags at half-mast to mourn the Hon Bill Grayden AM

The Australian flag will be flown at half-mast at all City buildings and establishments all day on Tuesday 2 June as a mark of mourning and respect for the Honourable Bill Grayden AM, Western Australia’s longest-serving member of Parliament.

A decorated World War II veteran, Mr Grayden served in Western Australia’s Legislative Assembly and the Australian House of Representatives across six decades.

Mr Grayden was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in 1994 in recognition of service to the Western Australian Parliament and to the community.

A State Funeral Service for Mr Grayden will be held at 10.00am on Tuesday 2 June 2026 at St Georges Cathedral, Perth.

The service will be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person.

The Australian flag will also be flown at half-mast from all buildings and establishments occupied by Australian Government departments and affiliated agencies.
