Carine Community Parkland upgrade

22 April 2026
The City is upgrading Carine Community Parkland to create a fun, inclusive and welcoming space for the community.
Construction will start late April and is expected to be completed by October 2026. The playground will be closed during this time.
As shown on the plan, the upgraded park will include:
- A new playground with a large climbing frame, slides, swings and a see-saw
- Netball and basketball courts
- Barbecues, shelters, drinking fountains and picnic areas
- Ground-based artworks and a feature entry sculpture.
During construction, nearby playgrounds in Carine are available at:
- Carine Regional Open Space (eastern side), near the corner of Monyash Road and Debden Place
- Okely Lorraine Reserve, off Chenard Street
- Alvaston Ashover Baludon Reserve, off Alvaston Drive.
Thank you for your patience while we deliver this exciting park upgrade for the community.
